Yes. ProKure® V has demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to the Monkeypox virus, on hard, non-porous surfaces. Therefore, ProKure® V can be used against the Monkeypox virus when used in accordance with the directions for use against Poliovirus-1 on hard, non-porous surfaces. How long does ProKure® V protect the surface after being applied?

ANSWER

ProKure® V cannot prevent future events of infection or contamination. ProKure® V should be re-applied if there has been a chance for re-contamination or in accordance to your on-going facility protocols. To best understand how to use ProKure® V either reactively or proactively, please read our product label and/or contact us.

How do I dispose of ProKure® V

ANSWER

To avoid waste, use all the solution according to label directions. Do not dispose of pouch containing dry ingredients with food or water. In the event of a spill of dry ingredients, take steps to avoid allowing runoff to come into contact with combustible materials, acidic solutions, skin, or clothing. An unused pouch containing dry ingredients must be treated as toxic waste materials and must be disposed of in accord with federal, state, and local regulations. Contact EPA, state, or local environmental agencies for current disposal instructions. Discard empty packaging and spent pouch in an outdoor refuse container.

How long is ProKure® V active?

ANSWER

If any formula remains unused, pour unused formula into a dark, closed/sealed container and store in a cool, dark location that is not subject to any sunlight and is separate from any food for human or animal consumption, making sure to use stored formula within 15 days of activation. Record activation date onto the container. Dispose of stored formula after 15 days in accordance with the product label.

Can you fog ProKure® V?

ANSWER

No. ProKure® V should be applied by sprayer, mop, or sponge to disinfect all hard, non-porous surfaces. See product label before application.

What is the shelf life of ProKure® in the packets?

ANSWER

Non-activated ProKure® foil packets have a 2-year warranty and will work past that as long as the foil packet is not breached and kept in temperature-controlled settings.

Does ProKure® V burn skin?

ANSWER

ProKure® V may aggravate pre-existing eye, skin, or respiratory conditions. Please review product labels before treatment and wear gloves if hands will come into contact with activated solution during dilution or application.

Can you use ProKure® V on food contact surfaces?

ANSWER

Yes. ProKure® V has an NSF International Certificate within the (D2) Category. This means it is considered a sanitizer on all surfaces not always requiring a rinse. Our NSF Certificate can be viewed here.

Is respiratory PPE required when using ProKure® V at 100 PPM through a pressurized sprayer?

ANSWER

No, respiratory PPE is not required when using ProKure V at 100 PPM.

ANSWER

At 100 PPM ProKure V® does not require PPE, unless hands will come into contact with activated solution during dilution or application, at which time, protective gloves must be worn.

QUESTION

Does electronic equipment need to be turned off for ProKure® G applications?

ANSWER

No, ProKure G is suitable for use on equipment surfaces. See product labels for specific claims.

Can ProKure® G be used in ventilation systems?

ANSWER

Yes, if applicable, turn on the air conditioning or ventilation system to circulate air if the system is solely for the space being treated. If not, turn off and close the ducts. (Turn off lights.) See product labels for specific claims.

Can ProKure® G be used with plants in the room?

ANSWER

The ProKure G fast gas is for unoccupied spaces – no people or plants in the space during treatment time. See product labels for specific claims.

Is ProKure® G safe to use around people and pets?

ANSWER

No. People and pets must not be in the area undergoing treatment while product is activated. Please use the caution placards included with the product to mark treatment and safe re-entry times and ventilate for one (1) hour prior to re-entry per product label.

Can ProKure® G be used in deodorization of ventilation systems?

ANSWER

Yes. Full directions for this can be found on the ProKure® G product label.

Where should activated ProKure® G units be placed?

ANSWER

ClO2 gas is heavier than air, so activate ProKure® G in a high, central location no closer than 18″ to 24″ away from fabrics, leather, electronics, mirrors, metals, or plated surfaces. It is best to use a fan or air mover to increase circulation and distribute gas, within the confined treatment space.

Does furniture need to be removed before the ProKure® G treatment?

ANSWER

No. Place activated product (gas pouch/clamshell or cup) no closer than 18″ to 24″ away from fabrics, leather, electronics, mirrors, metals, or plated surfaces. See product label for full instructions.

QUESTION

What PPE is needed for ProKure® G?

ANSWER

ProKure® G is intended for unoccupied spaces, where people and pets are not present therefore, PPE is not required. However, chlorine dioxide gas can irritate the respiratory tract if not use in strict accordance to the product label. Use caution placards included with the product to mark treatment and safe re-entry times and ventilate for one (1) hour prior to re-entry.
